Punjab Chief Minister’s Skill Development Program

A new project of the Punjabi Government, will provide free three months of IT training leading to international certification. The objective of this programme, run by the Punjabi Technical Education and Training Authority (TEVTA), is to ensure that young people are given the most upto date information technology skills. The sessions will be held in the evening, in line with the schedules of the participants.
The goal of the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program (PMYSDP) is to improve technical and vocational education and training (TVET) by raising its standard and increase the capacity of young people to meet global standards by providing them with market driven traditional and high tech skills needed for career advancement. The PMYSDP is the change agent that will enable young people to realise their full potential for human development and transform Pakistan’s future. The initiative consists of a number of intervention components that are designed to encourage the whole TVET system in the country to be switched over.
In the framework of this programme, TEVTA provides free IT training in a number of areas such as cloud computing, game development, artificial intelligence, cyber security, graphic design and data analysis. 35 institutions around the province are offering a total of 2600 seats for male students and 1400 seats for female candidates.
